Installation – environmental dimensions: wall stickers, stickers sheets
Work created with the care of Marta Bianchi, graphic design by Bar ½
For the UONPIA in Via Pace 9, Milan Polyclinic, as part of the “La verità, vi prego, sull’amore” (The truth, please, about love) project promoted by the SC of Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry (UONPIA) of the IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico Foundation in Milan, in collaboration with Codici – Ricerca e Intervento.
“Relationships and encounters are at the heart of Martina Melilli’s artistic practice. Each of her projects stems from listening, thinking, and acting, always rooted in the study of context and the relationships she has woven. In Vive la’mur, the artist brings the city into the UONPIA headquarters at Via Pace 9 and the UONPIA into the city, choosing to intervene with care and respect in the waiting room of Pavilion 4.
In this seemingly marginal but vital space, Martina Melilli and Marta Bianchi have activated a listening practice: for six days in April 2025, they invited passers-by to pick a question about love from a jar and respond with a drawing or a thought. This resulted in over 200 contributions, which were collected to become wall stickers to be distributed inside and outside UONPIA. Everyone was able to express themselves in their preferred language, without coercion, because every perspective is important. The project introduced two disruptive elements: transversality—everyone was able to bring themselves—and the relationship between artistic practice and well-being, offering a space for authentic sharing. Vive la’mur also broke down the conventions of space and time, transforming the waiting room into a meeting room, breaking the daily routine and creating a place to stop, think, and talk.”
